THE DAY THAT INDIE LEE CAME FOR TEA (AND COCKTAILS)

Sept. 30, 2019

It’s not every day you meet your skincare hero in real life. Here’s what we learned the day we met Indie Lee.

Queen of clean beauty, Indie Lee, visited No.11 Spa for an exclusive skincare masterclass for No.11 Friends, where we enjoyed tasting plates from Mise en Place,  pink bubbles from Premier Crew and followed Indie’s step-by-step guide for the best DIY facial as we listened to her amazing life story.

Read Indie Lee’s behind-the-scenes interview with The Beach or follow her steps for the ultimate at-home skincare routine:

1. Cleanse

Cleansers are the cornerstone of any skincare ritual: they remove make-up and impurities to brighten, condition the skin and Indie Lee’s versions have a host of other beauty benefits:

Purifying Face Wash
This antioxidant-rich cleanser promotes a clearer, brighter complexion while leaving skin soft and supple.

Brightening Cleanser
Not only will this cleanser help brighten, it also leaves your skin feeling nourished, soft, and luminous. And as a bonus it doubles as an exfoliating mask if left on for five minutes before rinsing.

Rosehip Cleanser
Designed for even the most sensitive skin types, this cleanser leaves skin calmed, nourished and protected from the elements.

2. Tone

CoQ-10 Toner

This alcohol-free, hyaluronic acid and aloe vera-based toner gives your skin that extra boost of moisture it needs. Spritz onto your face after cleansing exercise or travel and wipe away any excess residue with a cotton pad.

3. Peel

Help refresh the skin by adding a peel to your routine—it’s nowhere near as scary as it sounds! Indie Lee’s peel pads help exfoliate and prep the skin so that serums and moisturisers can be better absorbed into the skin. Use daily or 2-3 times weekly for sensitive skin.

Gentle Daily Peel

Natural beta hydroxy acid (BHA) from wintergreen, Australian caviar lime derived alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and vitamin C combine to gently exfoliate dead skin cells, dissolve excess sebum and improve skin clarity.

Radiance Renewal Peel

This vitamin C rich exfoliating blend of java plum, banana and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) from caviar lime combine with mango derived beta-carotene, vitamin A and glycerin to reveal a brighter, more even-toned complexion.

4. Apply serum

Serum helps to deliver powerful ingredients directly into the skin, thanks in part to powerful ingredients that can penetrate deeply into the skin and deliver a very high concentration of active ingredients. This makes them a great tool for targeting specific skincare concerns, like wrinkles.

Stem Cell Serum

Plant stem cells’ strong antioxidant properties protect the skin from environmental stressors, while echinacea, alpine rose, bamboo extract, hyaluronic acid and glycerine help with redness and leave skin looking and feeling hydrated.

Daily Vitamin Infusion

This serum is packed with plant-based ceramides and vitamins to nourish the skin, while olive-derived squalane helps with the appearance of texture and tone.

5. Moisturise

Finally, protect your skin with a high performance moisturiser that hydrates, smooths and protects.

Active Oil Free Moisturizer

This lightweight moisturiser promotes a brighter and more even complexion while working to rebalance, calm and condition the skin. It works well under make-up or on its own.

Daily Skin Nutrition

This blend of sugar cane derived squalane, rosehip seed, olive and avocado oils soothes and hydrates skin while hyaluronic acid and vitamin C leave skin looking plump, bright and more even toned.

Squalane Facial Oil

This non-pore clogging 100% pure oil leaves the complexion soft and nourished, never greasy, and improves the appearance of skin elasticity, texture and tone.

6. Don’t forget your eyes

I-Waken Eye Serum

This lightweight serum helps to address dark circles and puffiness, and protects and calms the delicate skin around the eyes with nourishing ingredients like horse chestnut, mountain ash bud and arnica. Keep yours in the fridge then apply to the eye contours for an extra cooling affect.
